About Branding Golf

Branding Golf Australia (BGA) was founded by professional golfer and inventor John Barrett. Barrett created the original BI putter in 1983 after experimenting with horseshoe‑shaped heads to increase moment of inertia. The result was a radically forgiving putter that helped him and countless other players sink more putts.

Over the years the BI design evolved through several prototypes and refinements. In 2011 the BI 3 prototype introduced the triple sight bars that are now the hallmark of our putters. Today BGA manufactures the BI 3 in Brisbane and offers custom‑fit putters to golfers around the world.

In addition to creating equipment, BGA runs clinics and seminars on precision putting and lie‑angle fitting. Our mission is to make golf more enjoyable by giving players the tools and knowledge they need to make more putts.
